ElizabethApril 2006

Graduating BioE senior Elizabeth Hua-Mei Kellogg was named recipient of the 2006 Departmental Citation in Bioengineering.

The Departmental Citation Award is the highest honor the department can bestow upon an undergraduate, and is only awarded to one student each year in recognition of distinguished undergraduate work. Past winners include: Hedi Razavi - 2005, Ryan Doan - 2004, Nathaniel Huebsch - 2003, Shelly Levy-Tzedek - 2002, Dino DiCarlo - 2001, and Benjamin Pelletier - 2000.

Elizabeth was nominated by Professor Kimmen Sjölander, who commented that she "has drive and initiative and creativity. There is no question in my mind that she is going to be a star in years to come." The award will be presented at a reception later in April.

Congratulations Elizabeth!
