The Department of Bioengineering congratulates BioE senior Hedi Razavi, selected to receive the 2005 Departmental Citation Award in Bioengineering.
The Departmental Citation Award is the highest honor the
department can bestow upon an undergraduate, and is only awarded to one
student each year in recognition of distinguished undergraduate work.
Past winners include: Ryan Doan - 2004, Nathaniel Huebsch - 2003,
Shelly Levy-Tzedek - 2002, Dino DiCarlo - 2001, and Benjamin Pelletier
- 2000.
Hedi was nominated by Prof. Frank Tendick, who
commented: "Throughout her undergraduate career, Hedi has demonstrated
remarkable motivation, preparation, and maturity as well as academic
excellence. She has demonstrated her commitment to the department and
the field of Bioengineering throughout her involvement in coursework,
research, tutoring, student activities, industry, and service to the
department."
The award will be presented at the
Bioengineering Department Awards Reception on April 13th. Hedi's name
will also be added to the award plaque displayed in the hallway on the
4th floor of Evans Hall.
