Alumna is new Merced faculty
November 10, 2006

Michelle Khine, who received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering here in 2005, is now an Assistant Professor in the new College of Engineering faculty at UC Merced.

Khine was a member of Professor Luke Lee's Bio-MEMS lab, and helped develop a microfluidic platform for single-cell analysis. In addition to her new faculty position, Khine also is part of a start-up company to continue developing their cell chip. She relishes the start-up feeling of building a new university from scratch as well. Read the full story in Engineering News .
