Research Interests Quantitative 3-D CT imaging of the musculoskeletal system. Research Summary Our research is focused on quantitative imaging of the musculoskeletal imaging in the assessment of skeletal fragility and osteoporosis. We have three overall research aims
1) Biomechanical modeling of bone from CT images to study bone strength as a function of age and drug treatment
2) Quantitative image analysis of the lower leg musculature gain insight into physical function and performance relat! ed to risk of falling
3) Imaging based integrative study of how age-related neurodegenerative processes affect the composition and function of musculoskeletal tissues Selected Publications Li W, Sode M, Saeed I, Lang T.
