HEROIC Scholars Post-Baccalaureate Training Program

This 24-month program will be run at the Mass General Cancer Center, in collaboration with the American Cancer Society, with the goal of preparing recent college graduates for careers in cancer research and health professions.

The program includes:
-Stipend and Benefits
-Comprehensive Training
-Mentorship & Career Development
-Clinical & Research Experiences
-Travel to an annual ACS event

Funded through the American Cancer Society’s Center for Diversity in Cancer Research (DICR), the HEROIC Scholars Program aims to increase the representation of underrepresented minorities in cancer research and will provide recent college graduates with mentored cancer research training paired with an Individualized Professional Development Plan to facilitate preparation for doctoral-level graduate and professional education.

Participants will receive exceptional training in cancer biology, translational science, and clinical research in preparation to become future leaders in academic medicine.
