The Master of Bioengineering graduate program in the Department of Bioengineering at Rice University has two major concentrations: the flexible non-thesis professional master’s with a focus on research (Applied Bioengineering) and the project-based Global Medical Innovation (GMI) track which combines engineering, medicine, and business to prepare students for careers in the med tech industry. The GMI program boasts an 85% full-time job placement rate for students within six months after graduation.
