#2 Looking for folks to present at our 2nd Annual Biotech Topics and Careers Conference open to all OUSD students! Sat, Sept 24th at 2101 35th Ave in Oakland (public transit accessible via BART and AC Transit) from 9:30a – 1:30p.
The conference will be formatted as 3 x 45 min sessions on various topics in biotechnology (very broad definition) followed by a Careers in Biotechnology Panel. Prior sessions have included topics such as “Developing Cancer Medicines”, “Remaking the World with Synthetic Bacteria”, “Applications of Artificial Intelligence to Healthcare”, and “Designing Bioprosthetics”. Workshops can be highly interactive lectures or hands on experiences with mini-experiments. Even holding a pipette or plating bacteria is really exciting for young people!
There is a flyer here and interested volunteers (individuals or teams) can register at tinyurl.com/ousdbiotech22
