The goal of Berkeley Bioengineering’s Medical Advisory Board is to help us focus on urgent and compelling medical challenges. Involving medical doctors early in the innovation process helps to foster research collaborations between faculty and clinicians, identify “moonshot” medical challenges, bridge interdisciplinary cultures, and avoid pitfalls on the road to clinical implementation.
