The Bioengineering Mentor Program (BMP) is the Bioengineering Department’s mentoring program open to all bioengineering students at UC Berkeley. The BMP aims to provide opportunities for bioengineering undergraduates to cultivate academic, social, and professional networks that will lead to long-term friendships and professional relationships. The program features monthly program-wide professional development-focused meetings as well as biweekly mentorship group-specific meetings.
As a member of the BMP cohort, you will have the opportunity to gain a better sense of belonging in the UC Berkeley BioE community, utilize opportunities to network with academic and industry professionals, and become more familiar with BioE department resources. If you are a second year or earlier, or a transfer student, you may join the program as a mentee, and if you are a third year or later, you may join the program as a mentor. The BioE Mentor Program leads and community hope to see you as a part of our semesterly cohorts!
Applications to join open near the start of each semester. If you have any questions, please feel free to email bmp.berkeley@gmail.com.
