Student Life
Bioengineers are busy! UC Berkeley and the surrounding community offer countless options for activities, including volunteer work, music and art, recreational and competitive sports, politics, and socializing.
By far the most popular way to get involved in through any of the hundreds of student organizations. Check out the campus and engineering lists of student organizations to find your tribe, whether it's based around a hobby, a passion, an identity, career goals, or anything at all. DeCal student-run courses are another way to learn, teach and get involved.
Bioengineering Student Groups
Bioengineering-affiliated student groups perform valuable services for the BioE community, like running annual poster sessions and career prep events, assisting the department with big events, and building friendship and empathy among students.
