BioE undergraduate alum Sasha Denisin, now a PhD student at Stanford, partnered with the Stanford Department of Bioengineering to run a 6-week hands-on design experience in bioengineering for high school students.
This year was the inaugural session of Bioengineering Bootcamp. These camp provided 26 students with the opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse set of bioengineering research topics through lectures and to practice their own engineering and critical thinking skills through team-based, real-world biodesign projects. Sasha co-developed the curriculum for the program, taught sessions, and recruited graduate and undergrad mentors.
Even after graduation, our students keep sharing their love of bioengineering.
