Bioengineering Associate Professor Amy Herr is the recipient of the Analytical Chemistry 2012 Young Innovator Award.
This award, sponsored by the journal Analytical Chemistry and the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS), recognizes the contributions of an individual who has demonstrated exceptional technical advancement and innovation in the field of micro- or nanofluidics in his or her early career.
Dr. Herr’s research interests include use of scale-dependent phenomena to develop new tools for quantifying biomolecules in complex biological fluids. Her research has earned her international recognition through prestigious awards including the 2010 Eli Lilly & Company Young Investigator Award and the 2010-2012 Sloan Research Fellowship.
The Analytical Chemistry 2012 Young Innovator Award will be presented to Dr. Amy E. Herr at the MicroTAS 2012 Conference October 3 – 7, 2012 in Okinawa, Japan.
