Bioengineers can dance!

Two bioengineering undergraduates, Nickesh Viswanathan and Anwesh Thakur, made it all the way to the quarterfinals of NBC-TV’s America’s Got Talent this summer, with their Berkeley Bollywood dance group, Ishaara.

Ishaara was the first Bollywood dance group ever to advance on the show, and appeared on live TV in August and September, competing against 47 other acts.
