June 2007
Berkeley/UCSF Bioengineers did well at the 8th Annual UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium, held June 15-17 at UC San Francisco. Bioengineering undergrad Amit Jain and graduate student Theresa Ulrich took the Best Poster award at the conference, while BioE undergrad Albert Mach took the 2nd place poster award for his work with graduate student Tanner Nevill.
Our students competed against over 80 posters from across the UC system. Amit and Theresa won with their poster, “Mechanobiology of Glioblastoma Multiforme”, describing work done in BioE professor Sanjay Kumar’s lab. Albert and Tanner are members of Professor Luke Lee’s lab, doing work on “Point-of-care microfluidic device for agglutination assay diagnostics in the developing world”.
Congratulations!
