Thomas Budinger, Professor and Founding Chair of UC Berkeley Bioengineering, has been awarded the Gold Medal for Distinguished Service to Radiology by the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS).
ARRS was founded in 1900 and is the oldest radiology society in the United States. The Society is named after the first Nobel Laureate in Physics, Wilhelm Röentgen, who discovered the x-ray in 1895.
Dr. Budinger was honored by for his long career of distinguished service to the field of Radiology.
