The Department of Bioengineering congratulates Prof. Lisa Pruitt for receiving the 2003 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM).
This week the White House honored four UC Berkeley faculty for their engineering and science accomplishments, and Prof. Pruitt was one of them. Lisa has been an incredible mentor for many undergraduate and graduate students at Berkeley. She was also recognized for the establishment of outreach and mentoring programs. The PAESMEM award, which is administered by the National Science Foundation on behalf of the White House, includes a $10,000 grant for continuing mentoring work.
Congratulations Prof. Pruitt – we’re very proud of you!
