Dr. Thomas Budinger was recently elected President of the Society of Molecular Imaging.
Budinger is a Professor of Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences, Professor of Radiology at UCSF, Director of the Department of Functional Imaging at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and was the Founding Chair of the bioengineering department. His research explores advanced positron emission tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance, and other imaging techniques.
The Society for Molecular Imaging is an international scientific educational organization whose purpose is to advance understanding of biology and medicine through noninvasive in vivo investigation of cellular molecular events involved in normal and pathologic processes.
