Kevin Healy, Chair of the Bioengineering Department and Professor of Bioengineering and Materials Science & Engineering, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Healy was elected by his peers for distinguished contributions to the fields of bioengineering and biomaterials science, particularly for the understanding and development of bioinspired materials. He is among 388 members to receive this honor by AAAS because of their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
New fellows will be inducted on Saturday, Feb. 15, during the 2014 AAAS Annual Meeting in Chicago.
