November 2007
Department of Bioengineering Chair, Professor Dorian Liepmann, has been elected a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
Members must be elected to the College of Fellows, a group which represents leaders in the field who have distinguished themselves through their contributions in research, industrial practice and/or education. The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering was founded in 1991 to establish a clear and comprehensive identity for the field of medical and biological engineering – which is the bridge between the principles of engineering science and practice, and the problems and issues of biological and medical science and practice.
With his election to the Fellows Dr. Liepmann joins other distinguished senior Bioengineering faculty, including Stan Berger, Tom Budinger, Kevin Healy, Jay Keasling, Sharmila Majumdar and Boris Rubinsky.
Congratulations Dorian!
