Bioengineering Professor Luke Lee will receive the 2009 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Award for Excellence in Biomedical Technology in Memoriam of William J. Morlock.
The William J. Morlock Award was established in 1960 by the family of William J. Morlock to give recognition to a qualified person with an original contribution involving important application of electronics techniques and concepts to the solution of biomedical problems.
Lee was recognized for his extensive contributes to the field of BioMEMS and advanced tools for quantitative biology. The award will be presented at the 2009 IEEE EMBS Conference this September.
