Mofrad Lab student wins first prize in Biophysical Society Image Contest

Zeinab Jahed, an Applied Science & Technology graduate student in Mohammad Mofrad’s lab, has won the first place prize in the 2016 “The Art of Science” image contest at the annual meeting of the Biophysical Society. The image, titled “Bacterial Networking“, shows a scanning electron microscopy of Staphylococcus Aureus bacterial cells forming networks on top of poly-dimethyl-siloxane (PDMS) micro-posts.
