November 2005
Our newest bioengineering professor, Dr. Seung-Wuk Lee, just received one of the first-ever Nano 50 Awards from Nanotech Briefs journal. This award recognizes the top 50 technologies, products, and innovators that have significantly impacted – or are expected to impact – the state of the art in nanotechnology.
The awards are given in three categories: innovators, products and technologies. Dr. Lee was honored as an innovator, an individual recognized as a leader or pioneer in a specific area of nanotechnology, with a significant background of accomplishments in advancing the state of the art in nanotechnology.
Dr. Lee is currently a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and will be joining the bioengineering faculty in January 2006.
Congratulations Lee!
