Vandsburger receives American Heart Association Transformational Project Award

Professor Moriel Vandsburger has received an American Heart Association Transformational Project Award for his work, ‘Molecular MRI Methods for Integrative Physiological Imaging in Gene Therapy’. These awards support highly innovative, high-impact projects that could ultimately lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate the field of cardiovascular research. Dr. Vandsburger’s project is focused upon the development of completely non-invasive and quantitative technologies for simultaneous measurement of the delivery of gene therapy vehicles and subsequent physiological outcomes for the treatment of heart failure.
