Summer internship opportunity at UCSF
The Berendzen Lab at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking summer undergraduate interns to join our growing multidisciplinary team. Our lab located in the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences on the Mission Bay campus is focused on understanding social behavior across healthy aging and in neuropsychiatric disease through the development of new genetic models. We use cutting-edge technologies for genomic engineering, systems neuroscience, and are adapting ML approaches for analysis of social behavior in rodent species. We are part of the UCSF Neuroscience Program and the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, offering outstanding opportunities for collaboration with clinical and basic science investigators.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals interested in developing systems and methods for behavior and image processing and analysis. We provide opportunities for close mentorship and guidance in research and career development.
Interested undergraduates should submit their CV, a short cover letter, and unofficial transcripts directly to kristen.berendzen@ucsf.edu.
