The animators behind the famous Wallace & Gromit movies has created the world’s smallest stop-motion animation film using CellScope technology pioneered by Berkeley Bioengineering Professor Dan Fletcher.
The CellScope was designed to add advanced optics to a cellphone camera to make a portable diagnostic microscope for the developing world. The animators attached the CellScope to a digital camera to film an adventure featuring Dot – a .35-inch-tall character.
